The Start of Something Old

My Grandma bought this wooden doll house a few years ago at a garage sale. I finally convinced her to let me have it so I could refurbish it and give it to my 5 year old daughter. No lies, it sat in my garage for two years. I've finally had the chance to pull it out and start work on it. My plan is for it to be done before Christmas for my little girl.
I did a little research on the house, and got nothing. So I spoke with a friend of mine who worked in antiques for a while. She said it was probably a dollhouse kit from the 70's or 80's. This comforted me, cause I'm not that talented with restoring things, yet. Not to mention, letting a 5 year old play with an antique is just not a good idea.

Here's how it was when I first started. I cleaned it off, and got some of my tools out that I figured I might need. There is also no front door, so I'm going to have to figure out how to make one. And I will get into the rest in the next post :)
